The Town Engineering Department provides permit review services for development activities. Engineering review commences upon Planning & Zoning review approval of the permit application.

Fill, Excavation and Grading Permit. The flood insurance rate maps (FIRM) show most of the Town in flood zone classified as Zone AH. An activity such as fill, excavation or grading may impact the flood plain conditions of the area. Through fill, excavation and grading permit the proposed activity is evaluated to ensure no adverse impact to the neighboring parcels and the floodplain as a whole. This type of development permitting is in compliance with the floodplain management requirement by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Southwest Ranches Fill, Excavation and Grading Permitting Process (attached) Right-of-Way Use Permit. A work activity within the road right-of-way requires a right-of-way permit.
